Planning & Programming Report

KDOT staff Forbes stated the monthly Planning and Programming Report was
on file. She announced that the online event for the Safety Action Plan, also
known as the Safe Travels for All program, will be held tonight at the Kane
County Division of Transportation (KDOT) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Individuals are required to register before accessing the link to join the meeting
virtually. This event will give people the opportunity to learn about the plan and
provide feedback. Forbes indicated that the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for
Planning (CMAP) has overviews of the most recent projects this year in the
Kane, Kendall Council of Mayors newsletter.

Permitting
Permitting Report

KDOT staff Hohertz stated the monthly Permitting Report was on file. She
highlighted the ongoing access permits and current projects. She stated that
there are new turning lanes and new road striping on Plato Road at the Central
High School, District 301. A crosswalk and pedestrian cross signals were added
at Randall Road and Fox Lane.

Traffic Operations
Traffic Operations Report
A.
KDOT staff Nika stated the monthly Traffic Operations Report was on file. He
highlighted a rear-end accident that occurred at Orchard Road by Home Depot
in Aurora. A run-off accident occurred on Randall and McKee in Batavia due to
weather conditions and misjudgment by the driver. On the Northeast corner of
Randall Road and Route 64 in St. Charles a signal pole was also hit.
