Health Department Updates
A.
KCHD Exec. Dir. Isaacson provided the health department updates. He stated
that with the weather starting to get warmer, festival season will begin soon,
therefore food inspections will be conducted to insure food safety at every
summer event. He announced that Kane County Connects reported that the
Kane County Chronicle recently named the Kane County Health Department as
one of the top workplaces for health care in the county for 2024. Isaacson noted
that there are over 300 measles cases nationally, two deaths, and over 10
percent of people have been identified as testing positive and hospitalized. The
measles outbreak will continue to be monitored by the health department, and
Isaacson's staff will provide more data at next month's meeting. Lastly, Isaacson
proposed to the committee to have more in depth discussions on specific health
care programs that the committee members would like more information on.
Much discussion ensued.
