Resolution Approving a Bid for the Construction Project for the Centennial Garden at Fabyan Forest Preserve

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, finds it necessary and desirable to authorize the bid for the installation of concrete walkways in the Centennial Garden at Fabyan Forest Preserve, located in Geneva; and
WHEREAS, the project for the Centennial Garden will consist of aligning, grading, and installing approximately 4,800 square feet of concrete surface walkways and site restoration throughout the project area; and
WHEREAS, the qualified lowest bid was received from Provantage Systems, Inc. from St. Charles, Illinois, with a total bid price of $65,819.00. Additionally, $5,000.00 will be set aside as contingency to cover any unforeseen costs that may arise during the project, for a total of $70,819.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois that the qualified lowest bid was received from Provantage Systems, Inc of St. Charles, Illinois at a total cost of $65,819.00 plus a contingency of $5,000.00 for a total project cost not to exceed $70,819.00 be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
