Authorizing Contract for Credit Card and Electronic Payment Services at the Kane County Animal Control Department

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Governmental Acceptance of Credit Card Act (50 ILCS 345/1 et seq.), local government units are authorized to accept payments by credit cards; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13-344, the Kane County Board authorized the Kane County Animal Control Department to take steps to offer credit card acceptance at its facility; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Animal Control Department accepts payment for services and fees which include but are not limited to, tag purchases, adoptions, boarding, vaccinations, and microchips; and
WHEREAS, Autoagent Data Solutions, LLC, can provide services that will allow the Kane County Animal Control Department to accept payments by credit card in accordance with the Local Governmental Acceptance of Credit Card Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the attached agreement with Autoagent Data Solutions, LLC, to provide credit card and electronic payment services at the Kane County Animal Control Department is hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Administrator of the Kane County Animal Control Department is authorized to execute a contract with Autoagent Data Solutions, LLC, to provide the Kane County Animal Control Department with credit card and electronic payment services in the form of the attached agreement.
