WHEREAS, Kane County administers annual allocations of federal workforce development funding provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for the local workforce development area, which includes Kane, Kendall and DeKalb Counties; and

WHEREAS, said funding is authorized under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which supports career and employment readiness services to area job seekers to help meet the hiring needs of area employers; and

WHEREAS, the County currently has contracts with Elgin Community College, Kishwaukee College, and Waubonsee Community College to provide WIOA training services to area job seekers, and

WHEREAS, the County currently has a contract with LaunchPad Careers, Inc. to provide software licenses and technical support for a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System in order to track the status of its clientele throughout the three-county workforce area; and

WHEREAS, the local Workforce Development Board has authorized the renewal of said contracts for Program Year 2024.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the Kane County Board Chairman and/or the Director of the Office of Community Reinvestment to execute an agreements with Elgin Community College, Kishwaukee College, and Waubonsee Community College to provide WIOA training services to area job seekers during Program Year 2024 in a combined amount not to exceed $750,000.00 (Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand and No/100 Dollars), and with LaunchPad Careers, Inc. for software licenses and technical support for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System during Program Year 2024, in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand and No/100 Dollars), and to submit certifications, reports, and other documents required by the Illinois Dep...
