Proclaiming April 14-20, 2024 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

WHEREAS, over one-half million dedicated men and women are engaged in the operation of emergency response system for Federal, State and local governmental entities throughout the United States; and

 

WHEREAS, the Kane County Emergency Communications Center that receive these calls has emerged as the first point of contact for persons seeking immediate emergency assistance and is expected to multi-task under emergency conditions with compassion, accuracy, and professionalism throughout the year; and

 

WHEREAS, this week, celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render lifesaving assistance to the citizens, residents, and visitors of Kane County; and

 

WHEREAS, County Board Chairman, Corinne M. Pierog, is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation calling on the people of the County of Kane to observe this week with appropriate ceremonies and activities.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof may and hereby will declare the week beginning April 14, 2024 thru April 20, 2024 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and congratulate the dedicated and hardworking members of the Kane County Emergency Communications Center for their ongoing service rendered to the community.
