AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF CONTRACT FOR AUDIO VISUAL SERVICES, EQUIPMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIR (BID# 33-019)

WHEREAS, the Kane County Information Technologies Department purchases certain audio-visual equipment and is responsible for equipment, maintenance, and repair of said systems; and
WHEREAS, Kane County issued Bid No. 33-019 for proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to provide audio/visual services, equipment, maintenance, and repair for various facilities throughout the County and was awarded to Midwest Computer Products, Inc. for a two (2) year term with an option to extend for two (2) additional successive twenty-four-month terms; and
WHEREAS, the County requests, and Midwest Computer Products, Inc. agrees to, the extension of the contract for an additional twenty-four months of service at the same rate of service as the original agreement in the not to exceed amount of $150,000 per year; and
WHEREAS, this is the second/final of two twenty-four-month terms; and
WHEREAS, the audio/visual services, equipment, maintenance, and repair is on an as needed basis for all Kane County Offices and Departments; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such fun
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract extension with Midwest Computer Products, Inc. in the not to exceed amount of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000) per fiscal year.
