AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES DEPARTMENT FOR UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS) SYSTEM REPLACEMENTS WITH INSTALLATION (RFP# 24-012-KK)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the uninterruptable power supply (UPS) system replacements with installation (RFP#24-012-KK). A total of three (3) bids were received by the deadline and opened publicly on Friday, January 12, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per documents and specifications, was Nationwide Power Solutions, Inc., of Henderson NV for an amount of One Hundred and Eighteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($118,430.00) and Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000) in contingency funds; and
WHEREAS, this contract will cover the replacement of one UPS with accessories at the Circuit Clerk's Office along with the installation and four years of maintenance; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been budgeted and are available in the capital computer budget; and
WHEREAS, the Contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract agreement for an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System Replacement at the Kane County Circuit Clerk's Office with Nationwide Power Solutions, Inc., 1060 Mary Crest Road Henderson, NV 89074 for the replacement of one UPS, installation, and four years of maintenance in the bid amount of One Hundred and Eighteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($118,430.00) and Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000) in contingency funds.
