AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR MILL CREEK SSA BRUSH PICK-UP SERVICES WITH DATE CORRECTION

WHEREAS, bids were solicited for Brush Pick-Up Services for the Mill Creek SSA (BID#02-020). A total of two (2) bids were received by the 3:00 pm deadline on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Resolution No. 23-106 authorized the first of three (3) additional one-year renewal periods; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as per bid documents and specifications, was Trees "R" Us, Inc of Ingleside, IL 60041; and
WHEREAS, the County requests and Trees "R" Us Inc. agrees to the extension of the contract for an additional one (1) year of service with an additional 7% increase making the seasonal dollar amount of Twenty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred and Six Dollars and Forty-Nine Cents ($29,906.49); and
WHEREAS, appropriate funds have been budgeted and are available in the FY2024 Mill Creek SSA operating budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a third one (1) year contract extension expiring on March 26, 2025 for the Mill Creek SSA with Trees "R" Us, 27881 W Sullivan Lake Road Ingleside, IL 60041 for the per pick-up price of Nine Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-Eight Dollars and Eighty-Three Cents ($9,968.83) for a seasonal amount of Twenty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred and Six Dollars and Forty-Nine Cents ($29,906.49).
