Authorizing Agreement with Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services to Allow Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Woman Program and Family Planning Program

WHEREAS, the Health Department is enrolled as a Medicaid provider under the Illinois State Medicaid Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Health Department serves pregnant women and family programs who are eligible for Medicaid coverage, and
WHEREAS, in order to make presumptive eligibility determination, the Kane County Health Department needs to enter into an agreement with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, and
WHEREAS, in order to enter into the agreement, the Kane County States Attorney has reviewed the agreement and determined that the County Board must authorize contract language which provides indemnification to Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the Kane County Chairman to sign the agreement with Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services.
