Authorizing a Contract for Kane County Animal Control Generator Installation Project

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Animal Control Generator Installation Project (BID#23-057) for the Animal Control facility. A total of five (5) bids were received by the November 10, 2023 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the responsive and responsible bidder for the Animal Control Generator Installation Project is Engineer Service, Inc., dba Powerlink Electric of Vernon Hills, IL; and
WHEREAS, the contract covers the completion of the generator installation project for the Kane County Animal Control Facility; and
WHEREAS, appropriate reserve funds are available to be utilized to fund this project in FY2024; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board hereby authorized and directed the Chairman to execute a contract with Engineer Service, Inc., dba Powerlink Electric 400 Corporate Woods Parkway, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 for the Animal Control Generator Installation Project in a project amount not to exceed Seventy-Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred and Fifty-Six Dollars ($77,856.00).
