AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR COUNTYWIDE BOTTLED WATER DELIVERY SERVICE WITH BLUETRITON BRANDS, INC DBA PRIMO BRANDS

WHEREAS, Bids were solicited (BID# 24-018-TK) and received by the Kane County Purchasing Department for a countywide bottled water delivery service for various Kane County facilities; and
WHEREAS, DS Services of America, Inc. dba Primo Water North America of Tampa, FL was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, for the bottled water service program, as per bid specifications; and
WHEREAS, Kane County Board approved resolution #24-107 on April 9, 2024 authorizing the agreement with DS Services of America, Inc. dba Primo Water North America for a two (2) year contract term with the option of three (3) additional one-year renewals periods; and
WHEREAS, BlueTriton and Primo Water have merged to become Primo Brands and the County requests and Primo Brands agree to the extension of the contract for an additional one (1) year service, at the same terms & conditions, with updated pricing. This is the first renewal with two (2) one-year renewals remaining; and
WHEREAS, County offices and departments are responsible for setting up services, bottled water and dispensers shall be delivered on an as-needed basis. Funding shall be paid from the General Fund #001, Line Item #60000 (Office Supplies) by the Kane County Purchasing Department, and other various funds across the County that purchase from this contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a one (1) year contract extension with BlueTriton Brands, Inc. dba Primo Brands for the delivery of a countywide bottled water services program.
