Authorizing a Contract for Kane County Emergency Communications for Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) System Replacements with Installation (RFP# 24-031-TK)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the uninterruptable power supply (UPS) system replacements with installation (RFP#24-031-TK). Bids were received by the deadline and opened publicly on March 22, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per documents and specifications, was Nationwide Power Solutions, Inc., of Henderson NV for an amount of Sixty Four Thousand, Nine Hundred Nineteen Dollars and Eighty Nine Cents ($64,919.89); and
WHEREAS, this contract will cover the replacement of one UPS with accessories at KaneComm along with the installation and extended warranty for five years; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been budgeted and are available and will be reimbursed to KaneComm by the Emergency Telephone Systems Board (ETSB); and
WHEREAS, the Contract calls for the use of funds beyond the present budget year and the County of Kane acknowledges the necessity of the appropriation of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract agreement for an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System Replacement at KaneComm with Nationwide Power Solutions, Inc. 1060 Mary Crest Road Henderson, NV 89074 for the replacement of one UPS, installation, and five years of extended warranty in the bid amount of Sixty Four Thousand, Nine Hundred Nineteen Dollars and Eighty Nine Cents ($64,919.89)
