APPROVING A $23,154.00 AMENDMENT TO THE PHASE I/II ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH KIMLEY HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. OF WARRENVILLE, ILLINOIS FOR PLANK ROAD HSIP IMPROVEMENTS, ROMKE ROAD TO BRIER HILL ROAD, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 21-00540-00-SP

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22-28, the County of Kane approved a Phase I/II engineering services Agreement (hereinafter the "Agreement") with Kimley Horn Associates, Inc. and appropriated Eight Hundred Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars ($807,722.00), (hereinafter the "appropriation"); and
WHEREAS, additional engineering services as set forth in the scope of work set forth in the Agreement are desired by the County for the successful completion of the Project; and
WHEREAS, in order to address the need for the additional engineering services, the County desires to amend the Agreement, (hereinafter the "Amendment"), (a copy of which Amendment is on file in the office the Kane County Clerk) by increasing the appropriation of the cost of engineering services an additional $23,154.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to extend the upper limit of the appropriation as set forth in the Agreement and the Amendment by an additional Twenty-Three Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars ($23,154.00) from $807,722.00 to $830,876.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Amendment to the Agreement with Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. is hereby approved and that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute the Amendment along with any other documents for the Agreement as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated the sum of Twenty-Three Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars ($23,154.00) from Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) for a total appropriation for the Agreement and its Amendment not to exceed Eight Hundred Thirty Thou...
