AUTHORIZING JOB TITLE AND PAY GRADE CHANGES FOR THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, Kane County established the Compensation and Position Management policy by Resolution 23-541 requiring all job title and pay grade changes for the Information Technologies and Building Management Department to be approved by the Administration Committee, Human Services Committee, Executive Committee and Kane County Board; and
WHEREAS, the Building Management Department has requested a job title and pay grade change for an existing budgeted position in the fiscal year 2024 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Building Management Department has identified the need to change the job title and pay grade of the Mailroom Supervisor (Position # 908018016) grade #263 with a salary range of $35,555.44 to $53,333.16 to a Mailroom Manager grade 507 with a salary range of $52,939.39 to $79,409.08; and
WHEREAS, the job position, title and pay grade changes are a budgeted expense for fiscal year 2024 and require no additional funds or budget adjustments; and
WHEREAS, the Mailroom Manager position will have additional responsibilities including vote by mail, printing and copier center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Kane County Human Resources Department and Kane County Finance Department are authorized and directed to change the job title and pay grade of the Building Management Mailroom Supervisor (908018016) grade 263 to a Mailroom Manager grade 507 with a salary range of $52,939.39 to $79,409.08.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Kane County Human Resources Department and Kane County Finance Department are authorized and directed to set the Mailroom Manager annual salary at Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars $65,000.
