Authorizing Execution of Memorandum of Agreement Between County of Kane, Kane County Sheriff, and Policeman’s Benevolent Labor Committee (Kane County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Unit)

WHEREAS, the Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA") between the County of Kane ("County"), the Kane County Sheriff ('Sheriff") and the Policeman's Benevolent Labor Committee (Corrections Unit) ("PBLC") is effective December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the CBA provides for Specialty Pay for the employees in the bargaining unit; and
WHEREAS, the County, the Sheriff and the PBLC agree to a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) which provides Specialty Pay for members of the Negotiations Response Team; and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff has sufficient funds in his budget to pay the Specialty Pay.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to enter into, on behalf of the County of Kane, the attached MOU by and between the Sheriff of Kane County, the County of Kane and the Policeman's Benevolent Labor Committee.
