Approving a Supplemental Appropriation for the Ride-In-Kane Program

WHEREAS, the Ride in Kane program (hereinafter the “Program”) provides rides for residents of Kane County through the use of federal Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) funding; and
WHEREAS, the current JARC funding has been exhausted, requiring an additional appropriation of Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00) to cover costs of the program through September 30, 2024; and.
WHEREAS, the County will receive One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) in ARPA funds, bringing the total additional funding after reimbursement to One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the sum of Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item #55010 (External Grants), to fund the Ride in Kane program through September 30, 2024.
