Authorizing Contract Extension of Aerial Orthoimagery

WHEREAS, the County of Kane intends to continue efforts to maintain accurate, reliable, and up-to-date geographical data; and
WHEREAS, the aerial imagery serves as a framework for the County's Geographic Information System and supports the decision-making process for many important issues currently facing Kane County, including real estate development and land use, transportation infrastructure, storm water and watershed management and analysis; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended to extend the original 2021 Aerial Orthoimagery Contract (RES# 21-09), for an additional one (1) year extension to Kucera International Inc. (RES# 23-12) was the 2nd extension. This would be the 3rd extension of this contract; and
WHEREAS, the County of Kane requests and Kucera International Inc. agrees to the extension of the contract for an additional one (1) year of services at the same term and conditions as in 2021; and
WHEREAS, appropriate funds have been budgeted and are available in the FY 2025 GIS-Technologies special revenue budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized to execute a one (1) year contract extension with Kucera International Inc for the acquisition of 2025 Aerials in an amount not to exceed Ninety-Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($94,800.00).
