AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR THE KANE COUNTY JUDICIAL CENTER PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WITH GENEVA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. (BID# 25-014-TK)

WHEREAS, Kane County has solicited and received eight (8) bids (BID# 25-014-TK) for the Judicial Center Pavement Improvement Project by the March 28, 2025 2:00 p.m. deadline; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was Geneva Construction Company, Inc. 1350 Aurora Ave. Aurora, IL 60506; and
WHEREAS, this is a three (3) year contract with two (2) optional mutually agreed upon one (1) year extensions as outlines in the bid specifications; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the Kane County Judicial Center Pavement Improvement Project will be a not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Seven Dollars ($1,238,807); and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and will be paid from the Building Management Capital fund- 500.800.805.72010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a three (3) year contract with Geneva Construction Company, Inc. 1350 Aurora Ave. Aurora, IL 60506 for the Kane County Judicial Center Pavement Improvement Project for the Building Management Department in the amount not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Seven Dollars ($1,238,807).
