WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 24-433, the Kane County Board authorized and directed the Kane County Board Chairman to execute a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the Kane County Board with multiple County departments and offices, to ensure that the County's SLFRF funds authorized for projects that fell within the Treasury Department's criteria and scope of FAQ 17.6 are fully obligated by December 31, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 24-433 included the execution of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Kane County Board and the County Public Health Department for the Addressing Behavioral Health Needs of Kane County Residents ARPA project; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 25-339 that reprogrammed SLFRF funds to the Kane County Public Health Department's Addressing Behavioral Health Needs of Kane County Residents ARPA project has remaining funds available in the amount of ($3,764.45); and

WHEREAS, the amount for the Bianca Gonzalez contract with the Public Health Department for training under the Addressing Behavioral Health Needs of Kane County Residents ARPA project has been reduced by Eight Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand and Twenty-Five Cents ($8,236.25); and

WHEREAS, the reprogrammed SLFRF available funds from resolution 25-339 and the reduced amount for the Bianca Gonzalez contract in the amount of $12,000.70 are to be re-directed to the County Public Health Department's Memorandum of Understanding; and

WHEREAS, the First Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between The Kane County Board and the Kane County Health Department will be amended as follows:

(a) In Exhibit B (Scope of Project), the Budget amount under the "Naloxone Dispensing Initiative" shall be increased by Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000) from Eleven Thousand Five H...
