APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION WITH BUILDERS PAVING, LLC OF HILLSIDE, ILLINOIS FOR 2026 DUNDEE TOWNSHIP RESURFACING PROJECT, SECTION NO. 26-07000-01-GM

WHEREAS, the Kane County Division of Transportation, on behalf of the Dundee Township Road District, has solicited and received bids for the work and/or construction described as:
DUNDEE TOWNSHIP ROAD DISTRICT SECTION NO. 26-07000-01-GM
(hereinafter the "Project")
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for the Project is:
BUILDERS PAVING, LLC OF HILLSIDE, ILLINOIS
With a low bid of
$308,828.00
WHEREAS, the Dundee Township Road District is eligible to receive appropriations pursuant to the Motor Fuel Tax Law (35 ILCS 505/1, et seq.); and
WHEREAS, the Township Highway Commissioner of the Dundee Township Road District and the Kane County Engineer have executed a Request for Expenditure / Authorization of Motor Fuel Tax Funds (BLR-09150) relative to a Motor Fuel Tax Fund appropriation request for road maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Dundee Township Road District intends on utilizing the services of Builders Paving, LLC to complete a resurfacing project with traffic control within its respective jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the Project shall be paid for from the Township's Motor Fuel Tax Fund, and no funds from Kane County are being used on the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that a contract for the Project described hereinabove shall be awarded to Builders Paving, LLC in the amount as indicated hereinabove and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract and contractor's bond therefor; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the low bid for the Project, be allocated from the Dundee Township Road District's Motor Fuel Tax Fund to Builders Paving, LLC for the work described i...
