Resolution Approving Amendments to the Agricultural Land Use Policy

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County established and adopted an Agricultural Land Use Policy on April 9, 2024 to establish governing rules for the stewardship and licensing of agricultural lands; and
WHEREAS, it is reasonable and desirable to review policies; and
WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District strives to ensure land rents are current and in line with market rates; and
WHEREAS, an updated Agricultural Land Use Policy has been developed to meet these stated goals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Illinois that the Agricultural Land Use Policy attached and identified as Exhibit A be, and hereby is, adopted and approved.
APPROVED AND PASSED on this 14th day of July, 2026.
