Approving a Supplemental Appropriation for Plank Road Highway Safety Improvement Project from Engel Road to Waughon Road, Kane County Section No. 19-00524-00-SP

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 23-537, the Kane County Board previously appropriated the sum of Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Six and 87/100 Dollars ($218,426.87) for the Kane County Highway No. 22 (Plank Road) Highway Safety Improvement Project from Engel Road to Waughon Road (hereinafter the “Project”); and
WHEREAS, during construction, it was determined that installation of rumble strips would be more effective in new asphalt pavement and therefore requires an additional appropriation $220,000.00 to complete the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the additional sum of Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($220,000.00) from Transportation Capital Fund #540, Line Item #73000 (Road Construction), for a total County Share of the Project appropriation not to exceed Four Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Six and 87/100 Dollars ($438,426.87).
