APPROVING A PHASE III CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HAMPTON, LENZINI AND RENWICK, INC. OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS FOR THE KIRK ROAD OVER THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD PROJECT, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 12-00192-04-BR

WHEREAS, phase III construction engineering services are necessary for the Kirk Road over the Union Pacific Railroad Project (hereinafter referred to as "Project"); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to perform the phase III construction engineering services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc., with its principal business address located at 1707 N. Randall Road, Suite 100, Elgin, Illinois, has environmental engineering experience, professional expertise, and is willing to perform the phase three construction engineering services for an amount not to exceed Three Million Five Hundred Six Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($3,506,431.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to enter into a phase III construction engineering services agreement with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office) with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. for phase III construction engineering services for the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate an amount not to exceed the sum of Three Million Five Hundred Six Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($3,506,431.00) to pay for on-call phase III construction engineering services for the Project and that said funds be paid from Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302, Line Item # 50140 (Engineering Services).
