APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PHASE II ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CHRISTOPHER B. BURKE ENGINEERING LTD. OF ROSEMONT, ILLINOIS FOR RANDALL ROAD AT HOPPS ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 19-00511-00-CH

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 23-347, the County of Kane approved a phase II engineering services agreement (hereinafter the "Agreement") with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. and appropriated One Million Two Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($1,294,764.00), (hereinafter the "appropriation"); and
WHEREAS, additional engineering services identified in the scope of work set forth in the Agreement are desired by the County for the successful completion of various County projects ; and
WHEREAS, in order to address the need for the additional engineering services, the County desires to amend the Agreement, (hereinafter the "Amendment"), by increasing the appropriation of the cost of engineering services by an additional $3,294,694.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to extend the upper limit of the appropriation set forth in the Agreement by an additional Three Million Two Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Four Dollars ($3,294,694.00) from $1,294,764.00 to $4,589,458.00; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Amendment to the Agreement is attached hereto as exhibit "1".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Amendment to the Agreement with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. is hereby approved and that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated the sum of Three Million Two Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Four Dollars ($3,294,694.00) from Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) for a total appropriation for the Agreement and its Ame...
