AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FROM FY2024 BUDGET FOR KANE COUNTY ANNUAL ROOF INSPECTION, REPAIR, AND REPLACEMENT SERVICES WITH WEATHERGUARD ROOFING COMPANY (BID# 23-054)

WHEREAS, Kane County is currently in contract with Weatherguard Roofing Company of Elgin, IL for Roof Inspection, Repair & Replacement services; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 23-504 approves Two Hundred Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($214,350) per fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Building Management Department has an additional project need for the replacement of the Juvenile Justice Center roof; and
WHEREAS, the County requests authorization of Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($900,000) in additional funds for this project; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds are budgeted and are available in the FY2024 Building Management budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Building Management Department is hereby authorized to expend up to One Million One Hundred Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,114,350) with Weatherguard Roofing Company, 345 Renner Dr, Elgin, IL 60123 to include the replacement of the Juvenile Justice Center roof project.
