Authorizing a Supplemental Services Agreement Between Kane County and the Village of Hampshire for the Police Records Management

WHEREAS, Kane County licensed Tyler Technologies Public Safety software and services for the purpose of managing public safety records and mobile software; and

 

WHEREAS, Kane County Sheriff’s Office maintains a multi-jurisdictional Law Enforcement Records Management System (LERMS) that provides for the creation of reports, storage, retrieval, retention, archiving, and viewing of information, records, documents, and other files pertaining to law enforcement data operations; and

 

WHEREAS, KaneComm and KaneComm’s subscribing police agencies are desirous to implement the Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Records Management System (LERMS); and

 

WHEREAS, the Tyler Technologies Law Enforcement Records Management System is maintained by the Kane County Information Technologies Department; and

 

WHEREAS, a KaneComm Supplemental Services Agreement has been prepared by the County of Kane to provide the records management system to subscribing KaneComm agencies;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the Kane County Board Chairman to enter into a Supplemental Services Agreement, through KaneComm, with the Village of Hampshire for the use of the Tyler Technologies Law Enforcement Records Management System.
