AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR AUDIT SERVICES WITH BAKER TILLY US, LLP

WHEREAS, the County of Kane procured the professional services of Baker Tilly US, LLP in FY 2024, Resolution 24-484 (Solicitation# RFP #24—051) to audit the County’s financial statements, required supplementary information, the report on Federal awards, and the Circuit Clerk audit beginning with fiscal year ending November 30, 2024 with the option to renew annually for four additional one-year periods with the cost of audit services for fiscal year ending November 30, 2024 of $129,000; and
WHEREAS, with Resolution 25-366 the County of Kane approved the extension of the contract for the first of four additional one-year periods for audit services for fiscal year ending November 30, 2025 per the original contract in the amount of $135,500; and
WHEREAS, the cost to approve the extension of the contract for the second of the additional one-year periods for audit services for fiscal year ending November 30, 2026 per the original contract is $142,200.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is authorized to enter into a one-year contract with Baker Tilly, Oak Brook, IL for the provision of audit services for the fiscal year ending November 30, 2026 with the mutual option to renew annually for two additional one-year periods.
