APPROVING PURCHASE OF ONE VEHICLE FOR THE KANE COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE (BID# 26-052-TL) AND AUTHORIZING CORRESPONDING BUDGET ADJUSTMENT

WHEREAS, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office has a need to acquire one (1) vehicle; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 2-82(E) of the Kane County Code, the required approvals of a vehicle purchase by the State's Attorney's Office, if a budget adjustment is required, are the Judicial and Public Safety Committee, the Finance and Budget Committee, the Executive Committee, and the County Board; and
WHEREAS, the State's Attorney's Office has worked with the Purchasing Department to issue a solicitation (BID# 26-052-TL) for one (1) 2026 Ford Escape ST-Line vehicle (or Approved Equal); and
WHEREAS, as provided in the attached procurement synopsis, one bid was received in response to the solicitation (BID# 26-052-TL), and the Kane County State's Attorney's Office recommends an award to One Nation Distribution, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($38,989.00); and
WHEREAS, to provide funding for this purchase, in accordance with 55 ILCS 5/6-1003, it is necessary for the Kane County Board to authorize a budget adjustment to the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board Chairman and/or the Kane County State's Attorney are authorized to enter into an agreement and execute any documents that are required to for the purchase of one (1) 2026 Ford Escape ST-Line vehicle (or Approved Equal) based on BID# 26-052-TL.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the following adjustment to the Fiscal Year 2026 budget:
