Resolution Authorizing a Professional Grant Consulting Services Contract with The Ferguson Group, LLC

WHEREAS, The Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, (District) seeks to identify, pursue, and secure grant funding opportunities to support public programs, capital projects, and operational initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the District has determined that professional grant consulting services are necessary to assist with grant research, application review and editing, submission, post grant award processes, grant compliance, and related advisory services; and
WHEREAS, The Ferguson Group (TFG) possesses the experience and qualifications necessary to provide such grant consulting services; and
WHEREAS, the proposed negotiated engagement letter for grant consulting services, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, outlines the scope of services to be provided and the compensation to be paid, as well as the term and other conditions under which such services will be provided; and
WHEREAS, funds for these services are available and will be made available in accordance with applicable subsequent budgetary and fiscal requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the grant consulting engagement proposal of the Ferguson Group of Washington, D.C. from April 2026 through June 2029, attached as Exhibit A, is hereby approved.
