Resolution Approving a Contract with Engineering Resource Associates for Engineering and Permitting Services for the Extension of a Multi-Use Trail at Brunner Family Forest Preserve

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, finds it necessary and desirable to retain the services of Engineering Resource Associates, Warrenville, Illinois, for professional services which include engineering and permitting for a multi-use trail extension along Route 31 at Brunner Family Forest Preserve; and
WHEREAS, Engineering Resource Associates recently completed engineering for improvements at Brunner Family Forest Preserve; and
WHEREAS, Engineering Resource Associates has submitted a proposal not to exceed $50,000.00 for these services. Additionally, $2,000.00 shall be set aside as contingency to cover any unanticipated additional costs that may arise during design, and permitting for a total project amount of $52,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, retain Engineering Resource Associates, of Warrenville, Illinois, to provide preliminary engineering and permitting services for a multi-use trail extension at Brunner Family Forest Preserve, at a cost not to exceed Fifty-two Thousand dollars ($52,000.00).
