Authorizing an Emergency Appropriation and Budget Adjustment for the Elgin Satellite Health Department Office Renovation

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Kane County Health Department to renovate areas within their office in the Elgin Satellite Health Department in Elgin, Illinois to utilize the office space more effectively; and
WHEREAS, Wight and Company, who the County Board has contracted with to provide professional architect, engineer, and constructional manager services submitted a proposal for the Elgin Satellite Health Department Office Renovation Design for an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($357,000); and
WHEREAS, the County Health Fund #350 has sufficient reserve funds to pay the $357,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the FY2026 Budget in Fund #350 - County Health to be increased in the accounts and amounts listed below:
Line Item: 350.580.580.72010, 350.580.000.39900
Line Item Description: Building Improvements $357,000, Fund Balance Utilization $357,000
