APPROVING RFQ 26-033 WITH GETRESQ911 FOR TEMPORARY CERTIFIED 9-1-1 TELECOMMUNICATOR STAFFING

WHEREAS, KaneComm is responsible for handling incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services, and deploying those agencies; and
WHEREAS, KaneComm is currently experiencing a staffing shortage due to current vacancies, and normal hiring and the six-to-nine-month training program will not provide immediate coverage necessary to maintain operations and provide schedule relief to existing personnel; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet necessary minimum staffing requirements and reduce excessive, long mandated overtime shifts for current staff, KaneComm has an immediate and urgent need for temporary certified 9-1-1 Telecommunicator staffing to prevent disruption to essential public safety services; and
WHEREAS, KaneComm issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 26-033 for temporary certified 9-1-1 Telecommunicator staffing services, and based on the evaluation of the responses, getResQ911 was selected as the most qualified vendor; and
WHEREAS, KaneComm has the determined the need to contract with getResQ911 for a one (1) year term, with two (2) optional one (1) year extensions to ensure continuity of operations and temporary staffing services; and
WHEREAS, KaneComm previously entered into an agreement with getResQ911 through an Emergency Purchase Affidavit on April 3rd, 2025 and have agreed to utilize the same terms and conditions of the agreement that were authorized in Resolution 25-146.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board hereby approves of the award of RFQ 26-033 to getResQ911 for the provisions of services and terms set forth in RFQ 26-033 as well as the terms of the agreement ratified via Resolution 25-146.
