APPROVING FY2026 COUNTY MAINTENANCE MOTOR FUEL TAX APPROPRIATION, KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 26-00000-00-RF

WHEREAS, the County of Kane ("County"), through the Kane County Division of Transportation ("KDOT"), is responsible for the maintenance of the Kane County Highway System in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Illinois Highway Code of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (605 ILCS 5/1-101, et seq); and
WHEREAS, the County's 2026 fiscal year expenses for IMRF and Social Security, for the County Highway System is funded by the State of Illinois' Motor Fuel Tax ("MFT") as referred to as "Section #26-00000-00-RF"; and
WHEREAS, Four Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Dollars ($476,970.00) in MFT Funds is required to pay for the County Highway's IMRF and Social Security expenses (Section #26-00000- 00-RF) in fiscal year 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the County Highway IMRF and Social Security expenses referred to as Section #26-00000-00-RF be conducted in conformance with the provisions of the Illinois Highway Code and will follow the procedures and guidelines as articulated within the Illinois Department of Transportation Circular Letters and its Motor Fuel Tax ("MFT") process during fiscal year 2026, beginning December 1, 2025 and ending November 30, 2026.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that Four Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Dollars ($476,970.00) is hereby appropriated from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302 for Section #26-00000-00-RF; said sum being comprised of:
* Two Hundred Seventy Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Six Dollars ($270,156.00) from Line Item #45100 (FICA/SS Contribution)
* Two Hundred Six Thousand Eight Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($206,814.00) from Line Item #45200 (IMRF Contribution)
