Resolution Approving a Bid for the Fabyan Villa Museum Roof Replacement at Fabyan Forest Preserve

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and desirable for the Forest Preserve Commission to authorize bids for the Fabyan Villa Museum Roof Replacement at Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva; and
WHEREAS, the project includes removal and disposal of existing roof and the installation of new underlayment, valleys, and cedar shake shingles; and
WHEREAS, materials specified were selected in compliance with historic structure maintenance practices; and
WHEREAS, the qualified, lowest bid for the project was received by All American Exterior Solutions, totaling $158,000. Additionally, the District is budgeting a 10% contingency of $15,800 for unanticipated additional costs that may arise during construction, for a total project amount of $173,800.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the bid received from All American Exterior Solutions of Lake Zurich, Illinois, for the Fabyan Villa Roof Replacement in the amount of $158,000, plus $15,800 contingency, for a total contract amount not to exceed $173,800, be and hereby is, accepted and approved.
