WHEREAS, for departments under the direction of the County Board, the County desires to formally authorize a cost-of-living wage increase of 3% for the County's non-union employees, active as of December 7, 2025, for Fiscal Year 2026, excluding employees whose salaries or wages are set by collective bargaining agreement, statute, ordinance, or employment contract and excluding employees employed by the County less than 90 days; and

WHEREAS, the County Board desires to formally authorize a cost-of-living wage increase of 3% for the County's department heads, active as of December 7, 2025, specified in section 2-48(A)(3) of the Kane County Code, including the Executive Director of Information Technologies and Building Management, the Supervisor of Assessments, the Director of Development, the Director of Workforce Development, the Executive Director of the Health Department, the Director of Communications for KaneComm, the Director of Environmental and Water Resources, the Director of the Office of Emergency Management, the Executive Director of the Human Resource Management Department, and the Director of the Finance Department; excluding employees employed by the County less than 90 days; and

WHEREAS, the County Board desires to formally authorize a cost-of-living wage increase of 3% for the administrator, deputy administrator(s), and wardens of the County's Animal Control Department, active as of December 7, 2025, specified in section 5-3 of the Kane County Code; excluding employees employed by the County less than 90 days; and

WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation and budget adjustments are required to amend the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget to provide for a cost-of-living wage increase of 3% for the County's eligible employees effective December 7, 2025, which is t...
