AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A DIGITAL MONUMENT SIGN WITH AURORA SIGN COMPANY (RFP #26-027-TK)

WHEREAS, as defined by Statute, the Kane County Clerk has responsibilities as Keeper of County Records, Registrar of Vital Records, Clerk of the County Board, Tax Extender, Chief Election Official and serves as the election authority who is responsible to conduct elections in the State of Illinois according to state statute 10 ILCS 5; and
WHEREAS, the County of Kane ("County") issued a Request for Proposals (RFP #26-027-TK) for the design, fabrication, and installation of a digital monument sign to be located at the Kane County Government Center (SE corner of 719 S. Batavia Avenue, Geneva); which will enhance public communication and outreach to the community; and
WHEREAS, five (5) proposals were received and evaluated based on established criteria and the Aurora Sign Company was determined to be the most responsive and responsible proposer; and
WHEREAS, the Aurora Sign Company demonstrated extensive municipal experience, and a turnkey delivery approach, with the proposal representing the best overall value to the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board that the Chairman is authorized to execute an agreement with Aurora Sign Company in an amount not to exceed $80,664.00, subject to final approval by the Purchasing and Building Management Departments. Funding is available within the Vital Records Automation Fund line item 160.190.200.70120 Special Purpose Equipment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing and Building Management Departments are authorized to finalize and administer the contract.
