Resolution Authorizing a Right of Way Acquisition Agreement Between the County of Kane and The Forest Preserve District of Kane County for Improvements to Fabyan Parkway at the Settlers Hill Golf Course Entrance

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County (District) and the Kane County (County) desire to enter into a Right of way acquisition agreement for improvements planned at Fabyan Parkway and Kingsland Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Right of way acquisition will provide for a left turn lane for eastbound traffic on Fabyan Parkway into Settlers Hill Golf Course, and improve safety; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to buy and the District desires to sell 0.08 acres of permanent right-of-way along Fabyan Parkway at entrance of Settlers Hill Golf Course for a price of $12,500; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to buy and the District desires to sell 0.24 acres of temporary easement along Fabyan Parkway at the entrance of Settlers Hill Golf Course for a price of $6,600; and
WHEREAS, the County has also agreed at its own expense to relocate the District’s existing monument sign from the right of way to a new location at the entrance
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the agreement attached hereto and made part hereof is hereby approved by the President and Secretary of the District, be and are hereby authorized to execute of behalf of the District.
