Authorizing Support Services Contractor for the Homeless Management Information System

WHEREAS, the Kane County Health Department oversees the Continuum of Care for Kane County, a network of social services agencies that coordinates services for the homeless population with the goal of fostering self-sufficiency; and
WHEREAS, the agencies utilize the County's Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to track and report client needs and services, and the cost of the system is covered with Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, the County requires the services of an information technologies consultant to adequately support the Homeless Management Information System and conducted a Request for Proposals (RFP) process in to obtain said services, resulting in the selection of Pathways Community Network Institute (PCNI); and
WHEREAS, HUD has awarded funds to the County to cover HMIS costs for the period July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board Chairman is authorized to execute an agreement with Pathways Community Network Institute for HMIS support services effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $49,000.00 (Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars).
