AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH 1 SOURCE MECHANICAL, INC. AND VALDES ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING FOR THE JC HOLDING & CONTROL HVAC PROJECT FOR THE KANE COUNTY BUILDING MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (BID# 26-011-TK)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Kane County Building Management Department JC Holding & Control HVAC Project (BID# 26-011-TK). A total of two (2) bids were received by the August 28, 2026 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was 1 Source Mechanical, Inc. 821 E Lincoln Highway Dekalb, IL 60115; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for the duration of the JC Holding & Control HVAC Project in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eleven Thousand Dollars ($211,000); and
WHEREAS, this includes the construction management cost of Twenty-Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($22,400) with Valdes Architecture & Engineering and contingency of Twenty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($24,600); and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted as part of the 2026 capital plan and will be paid from Building Management Capital (500.800.805.72010) Building Improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with 1 Source Mechanical, Inc. 821 E Lincoln Highway Dekalb, IL 60115 and Valdes Architecture & Engineering 100 W. 22nd St. Lombard, IL 60148 for the JC Holding & Control HVAC Project for the Building Management Department in the amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eleven Thousand Dollars ($211,000).
