Resolution Approving the Commissioner’s Expenses Attending the 2024 IPRA/IAPD Annual Conference in Chicago, IL

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District from time to time has certain expenses of commissioners and staff who travel for conferences, trainings and meetings; and

 

WHEREAS, the Local Government Travel Expense Control Act, Public Act 99-0604, requires all local non-home rule public agencies, including forest preserve districts, to regulate the reimbursement of all travel, meals, and lodging expenses of their commissioners, employees, and representatives effective January 1, 2017; and

 

WHEREAS, the District approved by resolution FP-R-16-12-2509, a policy for the regulation of said expenses which requires all travel expenses for commissioners be approved through a public meeting of the Commission; and

WHEREAS, President Chris Kious and staff attended the Soaring New Heights Annual IAPD/IPRA Conference held in Chicago January 25-27, 2024; and

 

WHEREAS, Expenses during the three-day conference included conference registration, travel, lodging and meals, totals as follows:

 

President Chris Kious:                     $365.00

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County Illinois, approve the Commissioner's expenses.
