Resolution Approving the Purchase of Four (4) Zero Turn Mowers for the Operations Department

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, finds it necessary and desirable to purchase four (4) zero turn mowers to replace two older units for North Operations and two older units for South Operations; and
WHEREAS, the District utilized the Sourcewell Joint Purchasing Program to secure the lowest prices; and
WHEREAS, Ralph Helm, Inc., Elgin, Illinois is the authorized local dealer that has been awarded the Sourcewell contract; and
WHEREAS, utilizing the Sourcewell Purchasing Program has realized a 27% reduction to the MSRP for the mowers for a unit price of $15,997.21.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the purchase of four (4) zero turn mowers from Ralph Helm Inc., Elgin, Illinois, for a total cost of $63,988.84, be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
