Authorizing a Contract for Kane County Emergency Communications for Professional Services for Mental Health and Therapy Counseling

WHEREAS, 9-1-1 Telecommunicators are responsible for processing 9-1-1 emergency telephone calls and dispatching appropriate public safety agencies to handle such emergencies; and
WHEREAS, KaneComm Management recognizes that mental health training and support is vital in the day-to-day operations and tasks of a Telecommunicator’s critical role in public safety; and
WHEREAS, Lilly Counseling and Consultation, LLC can provide confidential, psychological therapy focusing on mental and physical health focused on 9-1-1 Telecommunicators, with an emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), resilience, and stress management; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been budgeted and are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract agreement with Lilly Counseling and Consultation, LLC for Mental Health Therapy and Counseling for KaneComm’s 9-1-1 Team
