AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR KANE COUNTY'S ADULT JUSTICE CENTER HVAC AND PIPE CHASE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (BID# 24-064-KK)

WHEREAS, Kane County has solicited and received two (2) bids (BID# 24-064-KK) for the Kane County's Adult Justice Center HVAC and Pipe Chase Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. of Harvard, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the Kane County's Adult Justice Center HVAC and Pipe Chase Improvements Project will be a project amount of eleven million nine hundred seventy-eight thousand two hundred seventy-six dollars ($11,978,276); and
WHEREAS, this is a project that has been approved by ARPA and will be funded by ARPA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Hartwig Mechanical, Inc., 20800 E Brink Street, Harvard, Illinois 60033 for Kane County's Adult Justice Center HVAC and Pipe Chase Improvements Project in an amount not to exceed eleven million nine hundred seventy-eight thousand two hundred seventy-six dollars ($11,978,276).
