AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF SIX VEHICLES FOR THE KANE COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE (BID# 25-004-TS)

WHEREAS, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office employs personnel to meet the needs and provide safety for the citizens of Kane County who require appropriate vehicles to carry out their duties; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office has need to acquire 6 (Six) vehicles for use by said personnel; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office has received a grant in the amount of $1,000,000 (One Million Dollars) from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity ("DCEO"); and
WHEREAS, eligible costs for this DCEO grant can be programmatic and/or capital in nature, for the purpose of improving the provision of services to the public; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of 6 (Six) vehicles is included in the DCEO grant budget; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office has worked with the Purchasing Department to solicit bids (Bid# 25-004-TS) for 6 (Six) 2025 Ford Escape vehicles (ST-Line or Approved Equal); and
WHEREAS, as provided in the attached procurement synopsis, multiple bids were received, and the Kane County State's Attorney's Office recommends awarding this solicitation (Bid# 25-004-TS) to Bob Maxey Ford, Detroit, Michigan, with a bid amount of $204,525.00 (Two Hundred Four Thousand Five Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the Kane County Board Chairman and/or the Kane County State's Attorney to enter into any necessary agreements with Bob Maxey Ford, Detroit, Michigan, for the purchase of 6 (Six) 2025 Ford Escape vehicles.
