Resolution Approving Bids for Pond Management at Three Forest Preserves

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited and received for three years of monitoring and management of ponds at Burnidge, Bowes Creek Greenway, and Arlene Shoemaker Forest Preserves; and
WHEREAS, the lowest qualified bidder for the three years of monitoring and management of the pond near the Paul Wolff Campground (Project 1), was received from Tigris Aquatic Services in the amount of $8,451 or ($2,817/year); and
WHEREAS, The lowest, qualified bid for three years of monitoring and management of the three ponds at the Bowes Creek Greenway (Project 2), was received from Jones Lake Management in the amount of $20,200.02 or ($6,733.34/year). The lowest qualified bid for three years of monitoring and management of the ponds at Arlene Shoemaker was also received from Jones Lake Management in the amount of $17,499.97 or ($5,833.32/year); and
WHEREAS, financially, funds have been budgeted for donated lands management, specific to the Bowes Creek Greenway and funds have been allocated for pond monitoring within the Natural Resource Management Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the lowest, qualified bid for pond management at Burnidge Forest Preserve by Tigris Aquatic Services in the amount of $8,451.00 and the lowest, qualified bids for pond management at Bowes Creek Greenway and Arlene Shoemaker by Jones Lake Management in the amount of $20,200.02 and $17,499.97 respectively for a total contract cost of $46,150.99 be, and hereby is, accepted and approved.
