Authorizing an Amendment to an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Supreme Court of Illinois for the Lease of Space in the Third Street Courthouse for the Sixteenth Circuit Arbitration Center

WHEREAS, the County of Kane by resolution 22-88 entered an intergovernmental with the Illinois Supreme Court for the lease of 1,681 square feet in the Third Street Kane County Courthouse for an annual base rent of $30,526.92 from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2026; and

 

WHEREAS, the Illinois Supreme Court requests an amendment to the current intergovernmental agreement and lease to reduce the square footage from 1,681 square feet to 583 square feet and annual base rent from $30,526.92 to $10,587.24; and

 

WHEREAS, the revised agreement is for 583 square feet at a monthly rate of $882.27 from April 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is authorized and directed to enter into the amended intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Supreme Court for the lease of space at the Third Street Courthouse from April 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026 for a monthly base rent of Eight Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars and Twenty-Seven Cents ($882.27) for the Sixteenth Circuit Arbitration Center.
