AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH ABBEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR THE FABYAN PARKING LOT PROJECT FOR THE KANE COUNTY BUILDING MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (BID# 26-054-TL)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Kane County Building Management Department Fabyan Parking Lot Project (BID# 26-054-TL). A total of five (5) bids were received by the July 31, 2026 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was Abbey Construction Company, Inc. 1949 County Line Rd, Aurora, IL 60502; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for the duration of the Fabyan Parking Lot project in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($298,330); and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted as part of the 2026 capital plan and will be paid from Building Management Capital (500.800.805.72010) Building Improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Abbey Construction Company, Inc., 1949 County Line Rd, Aurora, IL 60502 for the Fabyan Parking Lot Project for the Building Management Department in the amount not to exceed Two Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($298,330).
