APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE FOR THE KANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

WHEREAS, the Kane County Sheriff's Office requires one (1) replacement vehicle for a unit that was totaled in an accident while on duty earlier this year; and
WHEREAS, one (1) vehicle will be replaced with budgeted funds from the FY24 budget and reimbursed by our insurance agency through the Kane County Human Resources Department; and
WHEREAS, the most responsive vendor was Currie Motors, Inc., 10125 W. Laraway, Frankfort, Illinois, for a 2024 Ford Police Interceptor Utility AWD at a price of Forty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-Two and 00/100 Dollars ($45,782.00); and
WHEREAS, Kane County Human Resources has notified the Kane County Sheriff's Office that insurance will reimburse our agency a total of Twenty-Seven Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($27,157.00), leaving a balance of Eighteen Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty-Five and 00/100 Dollars ($18,625.00) to be paid out of the Automotive Equipment, 128.380.395.70070.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board with the Chair's signature is hereby approving the purchase of a 2024 Ford Police Interceptor Utility AWD for a not-to-exceed amount of Forty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-Two and 00/100 Dollars ($45,782.00) from Currie Motors, Inc., of Frankfort, Illinois.
