Approving an Amendment to the Agreement with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. of Aurora, Illinois for Tyrrell Road Corridor Improvements from Raymond Road to Mason Road, Kane County Section No. 23-00562-00-PW

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 23-308, the County of Kane approved a Phase I engineering services Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (“Consultant”) and appropriated Six Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Seven Hundred Eleven Dollars ($623,711.00), (hereinafter the “appropriation”); and
WHEREAS, the terms of the Agreement between the County and Consultant will expire on December 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, unobligated funds are still available under the original Agreement and Consultant is actively working towards completion of various tasks contemplated within the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the County’s best interest to extend the expiration date of the Agreement from December 31, 2026 to December 31, 2029 to provide sufficient time for consultant to complete all of the work contemplated within the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the County and Consultant have negotiated an Amendment to the Agreement which is attached hereto and designated as Exhibit “A” (a copy of which is on file in the office of the Kane County Clerk).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that an Amendment to the Agreement with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. is hereby approved and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Amendment.
